Enjoy Easter: How to Worship in the Tech Booth

Easter is almost here! Hip-hip-hooray – and whew!  Creating the slides for Easter and Holy Week is a huge task.  You are driven to make it amazing and yet the songs have such vast themes – from death and despair to joy beyond description. I imagine you are as happy, tired and relieved as I am – the slides are done, and the screens look beautiful.  Tomorrow you will be in the tech booth – or maybe in the pew - with your mind still on the screens. 

In the midst of the worship service, when your favorite slide goes up on the screen take a moment to thank God for being a part of it. When the sermon is happening – really listen to it – not just for the prompts for the next screen – listen to the message of Christ’s love for you. Laugh with your fellow techies. Congratulate the singers. Say hi to your church family. Eat the treats they offer after worship.  Be in the moment – look for God’s love – worship, laugh and be refilled.
