To Epiphany and Beyond!

I love Epiphany. The whole concept of mighty, powerful people dropping everything to follow a star. They simply acted on their faith and transformed their lives. I imagine the journey was long and hard - it was very dangerous to travel back then. And yet they stepped out in faith.

My favorite part is what they did when they got to Jesus. These powerful people knelt. In my imagination, they knelt for a long time breathing in the presence of God. Then they shared the gifts that would support and uplift the new family.

My hope for each of us is that in 2024 we will be like the Wisemen - lovingly stepping forward in faith and gently, kindly offer our gifts to our church, our community, and the world.
